He liked the gags. He liked the way his captors went through several of them trying to get the right fit. He liked the big rubber ball gag best. It didn’t muffle his screams much, were he inclined to scream, which he pretty much only did for effect.

He liked the gags because it let him know they were afraid to let him speak unbidden.

He liked the gags because it made the pretense that they were torturing him for information look completely hollow, even if Big Brother didn’t surely know how much wasted effort it could be to try to break an extreme masochist. Of course, Big Brother was never one for legwork, but that didn’t mean Jim couldn’t almost hear him breathing hard behind those ubiquitous cameras. All the machinery of the state - their trained thuggery, their needles, their delicious, shivery electrostim - oh, The Woman would be green with envy, and this kind of quality agony wasn’t for sale at any price.

He spoke in scratches on the glass of his cell and rapid morse code blinks of his eyes through blood and tears. I can feel how hard you are when you watch, Mycroft. Barely keep your hands out of the bespoke, yeah? You must have balls bluer than your blood if you can’t come until I break.

He straightens his suit as her eyes burn through his shell. “I’m your Christmas present.” His mouth has gone dry. She’s beyond perfect, the essence of pure Holmesness wrapped in a shroud of witchcraft. “What’s mine?” He already knows. It’s that he feels alive in her presence, because he is afraid.

She briefly parts the white shirt of her pyjamas to show the peep of a camisole. Prada. The latest Fall collection. Oh, the implications. He comes as close to the glass as he dares, and then closer, and then their bodies nearly meld through it. She begins to whisper. He’s trembling. He’s hard. She speaks of drowning. He feels the pressure in his lungs.

He’ll joke about Darth Vader but the idea of being choked by remote used to make him hard and shooting off embarrassingly fast.

She curls her white hand against the glass as she dances with him, slow and lewd. She clutches her fist at the knot of his tie, and the glass is still there, he’s sure of it, but somehow he feels her heat against his chest, her face nuzzling, her thighs pressing, and his necktie tightening at her command although it’s his own hand pulling. His come smears the glass as he slides to his knees, consumed with joy as his vision goes black.

Sherlock kept his voice even as he adjusted the camera for the optimal angle, to capture the squeaking and snapping as he donned the latex gloves (black, powder-free, extended cuff), stretching them past his wrists.

John lay sprawled across the rug, nude, limbs askew and head lolled to one side. Sherlock crawled over him, speaking to the camera. “No sign of violence or resistance. Possibly sedated, will take blood sample.”

John shivered only slightly as the long gloved fingers skimmed his skin, probing and testing, tickling and stinging as the soft hairs of his body caught on the rubber. Sherlock had started collecting latex gloves (from delicate finger cots to past-the-elbow affairs for the opera or horse-fisting) once he learned that John loved to see his beautiful hands encased snugly, to touch without touching, a layer of medical distance between them as if John were just … a body.

John was getting hard even before Sherlock examined his neck and slowly circled his rubbery fingers around John’s mouth, gently opening his jaw. “Evidence of slight abrasion on the lips,” Sherlock told the camera. “Possible cause of death, asphyxiation by repeated insertion of a cylindrical object. Like this-” he said, his breath at last growing heavy as he straddled John’s shoulders and loosened his straining trouser button.

A/N: My brain was fried from editing His Constant Chapter 2, but a Sherlolly hater's post somehow inspired me to write this. So now this is part of my Secret Relationships are Fun! series and my Piece By Piece ficlet collection.

“You ship Sherlolly?” Sherlock coughed. “What the hell does that even mean?”

Sally laughed before taking a hit of her cigarette. She glanced at the still choking man and then gave his back a hard thump. “You OK, Holmes?” She furtively took a photo of him hunched over.

He straightened up as his cough abated and stared at her. “Yeah, of course,” he croaked. “I asked you a question, Donovan.”

She scowled at him. “I didn’t say I ship you and Molly. I said Anderson does.” Glancing at him, she snorted at the confusion on his face. “It means he likes the two of you together. Romantically. Sexually. Or both.”

He only gave her his deer-in-the-headlights look.

“Oh, for Pete’s sake. Relax.” She rolled her eyes and inhaled from her cigarette. “At least he hasn’t written fan fiction about you two. He has sent me links though,” she said with a shrug.

He took a hit of his cigarette. “Do people write about Molly and I having sex?” At her nod, he took his phone out of his pocket. “Send me the links.”

“Why the hell would I do that?” she asked, her eyebrows knitted in her confusion.

He held his cigarette between his fingers as he typed on his phone. “I want to know how much our 'fans’ got right.”

She was sure that she was the one giving the deer-in-the-headlights look now. “What???”

The armed security guard stood at alert rest, hands crossed behind in a strict military manner. No one at the museum wanted to take risks on a recurrence of the AGRA incident, not with the crown jewels of Narrativistan on loan for a limited engagement.

A lean dapper gentleman strode down the hall to the vault with the aura of one who belonged there. The guard alone knew that he didn’t - and looked askance at another guard who wasn’t quite right. It wouldn’t matter. The cameras would be off when they needed to be.

And such was Irene’s daring that she wriggled half out of her Westwood wool and showed sage-green skin-caressing silk, her male-manicured hands slithering into Mary’s uniform trousers right there in the vault. Mary thought she’d be the one who couldn’t keep her hands off Irene - smart tailoring of that suit seeming to change her whole body shape and give her natural air of dominance a masculine flavour. But it was Irene who seemed impatient. “The jewels are safe, pet,” she purred. “In the safest place. Well, safe from anyone but you.”

The cocky effect was dazzling as Irene pushed Mary against the steel wall and opened her shirt and waistcoat, pressing her breasts against Mary’s cheap uniform. “Suits suit you,” Mary murmured.

“Suits you to look butch.”

Matching is done by hand, so will take at least through the weekend to complete. To see what "by hand" means (spreadsheets! it means spreadsheets spreadsheets spreadsheets!),

colebaltblue did a behind-the-scenes post on matching a couple of years ago. The process still looks very much like that.

Please know that the prompts in sign-ups are optional -- matches are made only on fanwork types, fandoms, pairings/characters, categories, and ratings. This means that no one is obligated to fulfill anyone's specific prompts, and no one is guaranteed to receive a fanwork that fills a specific prompt.

While we're in the process of matching, please keep an eye on your email. Sometimes we have to contact someone for clarification about their sign-up, or (much more rarely) ask them if they can expand their requests or offers because there simply isn't an available match. The quicker we get responses to those queries, the quicker we can send out everyone's assignments. :-)

Should all go well with matching, we will send out assignments early next week via email. Please reply to your assignment email so that we know you received your assignment and that matching + assignments went smoothly.

A quick outline of how things proceed thereafter:

Everyone will make a fanwork that fulfills the type, fandom, pairing, category, and rating requests of their assignment. This will be done in secret, because anonymous exchange.
Everyone will have their work betaed, i.e., ask another person to look the work over and suggest corrections or improvements. We will make a beta-volunteer post on the comm asking for people to volunteer their talents; if you don't already know someone you can ask to beta, you can begin looking for a beta there. The mods may be able to help you, too.
Everyone will email their completed work to the mods by Nov 21st. We will have a post on the comm that gives specifics about acceptable formats and required headers; please consult that for details.
If you suspect you won't have your work completed by Nov 21st, please email the mods as soon as you realise there's going to be a problem. Depending on the issue, we'll either give you an extension or arrange for a pinch-hitter. (Please email us! We won't judge; we just want everyone to have a Holmestice gift! Help us do that by letting us know when there's a hitch!)
On Nov 22, we'll do an inventory of submissions, extensions, and no-shows, and then arrange for pinch-hitters as necessary. (If you'd like to be on our roster of potential pinch-hitters, please let us know!)
Starting Dec 1, we'll begin posting fanworks to the community, a few works every day, until posting ends on Dec 14. Please feel free to comment on all the gifts, but do have a care about not revealing the identity of any author, vidder, or artist!
After all the works have been posted, we'll invite everyone to guess who made what. Be bold! Entertain us with your scintillating deductions and crafty misdirections!
On Dec 21, we will reveal all the creators, and everyone will finally be free to repost, pimp, brag, and taunt to their heart's content. :-)

Richie's Watson is actually my favorite, but Lucy Liu's is a close (VERY close) second - smart, capable, generous, and in a constant state of slight exasperation. I love how Brett's Holmes always seems to be on the verge of sharing a very funny and slightly off-color joke with Watson who hasn't quite caught on. My first love is horses - there are NEVER enough horses in the Holmes story. Feel free to ask Sang about my feelings regarding Holmes and horses.

Anything character-driven! I enjoy complex characters dealing with internal conflicts and minor characters fleshed out and granted a measure of dignity and interiority. I tend to like romances that deal with larger issues of gender, patriarchy, and/or queerness as well as the specific personalities and situations of the couple involved.

I also enjoy politics in fic--if that kind of thing seems interesting to you.

I've always loved the sense of place in canon and in adaptations and would be excited to see a vividly sketched location--the flat, Baker Street, Speedy's, the Diogenes Club, London or New York or places visited while on a case--if anything along those lines strikes your fancy.

Please no A/B/O. I'm also a little wary of Euros and the final episode of the fourth season of BBC Sherlock. In an ideal universe, we'd somehow get to the end of the series without stereotypically crazy women and wanton killing.

I'm also sadly R-rated--I *do* love to see my characters having sex, I just don't want to know too much about it (i.e., nothing too explicit, unless it's an integral part of the story).

Special requests: I didn't eliminate either the romantic or case fic categories, but I tend to write character studies with a helping of romance or plot. If anyone seems amenable to that type of fic, I'd love to write for them.
